HORSEMANSHIP CLASSES

Learn about horse behavior, care, grooming, and basic riding skills! We teach "horsemanship style" with an emphasis on safety and self awareness covering various topics, including horse caretaking, handling, and knowledge. There is riding of course but it is not our sole focus. We are always happy to work with any experience level and have fun!
All programs are taught through the social emotional lens and emphasize development in that area. Classes are taught by coach(es) with skills including groundwork, riding English and Western, games, confidence building, and socioemotional development. |

Cancellation & Makeup Class Policy
At Storm Chaser Stables, we believe in a commitment to learning come rain or shine. Our cancellation and make-up policy is designed to ensure the safety of our participants and our equine companions while providing flexibility for unforeseen circumstances.
In the event that a participant wishes to withdraw from their registered class, two weeks advance notice must be given in writing. Tuition billed as a result of improper notice of withdrawal is still due. By adhering to this cancellation policy, we foster a learning environment that prioritizes safety, consistency, and the continued care of our beloved horses.
- Class Schedule: Classes are held weekly in various weather conditions. This allows participants to engage in a range of activities, including riding, unmounted activities, groundwork, hippology study and theory, and other valuable aspects of horsemanship on an ongoing basis.
- Cancellation Criteria: Classes will be canceled only in the event of instructor illness or extreme weather circumstances that could compromise safety. You will be notified by text message in the event of class cancellation.
- Make-Up Classes: If an instructor cancels a class, make-up classes will be arranged within the same month if possible. For student-canceled classes, make-up classes may be scheduled with advance notice and are subject to instructor availability. Two consecutive weeks of absence to class without communication forfeits student's class registration.
- No Refunds or Credits: To ensure the well-being of our horses and maintain consistency of care, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to the welfare of our equine partners.
